Sisters in Spirit walk on Thursday – Nova News Now

A Sisters in Spirit video and walk will be held by the Acadia First Nation on Thursday, Oct. 25 at 4 p.m.

The walk will take place at the AFN Health Center. This is the second year for the event.

It is being held to draw attention to the violence experienced by Aboriginal women and girls in Canada.

“Their disappearance and murder is felt nationwide, with countless First Nations, Inuit and Metis families and communities grappling with the loss of a loved one and struggling to find answers,” said Rose Purdy.
