My name is Lindsay Rubeniuk, I am the Vocational Facilitator for Park West School and Mountain View School Divisions. We are researching the possibility of putting on a “Women in Mining Conference”. This conference would be directed at Aboriginal ladies, under-employed women and females attending High School and those attending alternative education programs.

This event will be held in the Park West region of Manitoba where there is a diverse group of unemployed and underemployed females.

We will be partnering with local economic development agencies and other interested partners. We are hoping to get some direction and hopefully participation from WIM Canada and/or WIM Manitoba.
