MiHR invites you to attend the Aboriginal Mining Education Forum taking place November 20th & 21st, 2012 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Toronto. The AMEF will provide the ideal follow-up to Canadian Aboriginal Minerals Association conference, offering insight from a variety of experts with vested interest in Aboriginal education to employment in the Canadian mining sector. Do not miss this networking and knowledge sharing event, bringing together representatives from Aboriginal organizations, education and mining/mineral companies.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM THE AMEF:
• Knowledge sharing among representatives from Aboriginal Organizations, education and the mining and mineral exploration industry
• A highly interactive event with ample networking opportunities
• Break-out circles where delegates will inspire each other with new ideas
• Presentations from thought leaders (including Glenn Nolan, President of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) and vice-president, Aboriginal Affairs, Noront Resources) on strategies to increase Aboriginal education leading to careers in the mining and minerals industry.
The Aboriginal Mining Education Forum will bring together representatives from Aboriginal organizations, education and mining and mineral exploration. The Forum will be a strategic networking event resulting in an improved understanding of the issues of Aboriginal education as it critically applies to human resources management in mining and mineral exploration and the economic development of Aboriginal (First Nations, Métis and Inuit) communities.
