McGuinty Government Creates Jobs and Strengthens Northern Economy
Ontario is helping to build a stronger and more diverse Northern economy while creating 18 jobs in Algoma-Manitoulin.
Through the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC), the province is supporting eight entrepreneurs who will boost the local economy by creating new or expanding businesses. This will help attract and retain a new generation of workers to the area.
Investing in Northern Ontario communities is part of the McGuinty government’s Growth Plan for Northern Ontario. A strong Northern economy creates local jobs and protects the services that mean the most to families – health care and education.
