On November 1, join Urban Shaman for an information session about funding programs for Aboriginal artists and organizations available from the Canada Council for the Arts and the Manitoba Arts Council, along with an opportunity to network with other Aboriginal artists and share your challenges and success. The information session will include in-depth discussions on support programs for both individual Aboriginal artists, small collectives, and arts organizations.
Some of the topics that will be covered include:
- Overview of Aboriginal programs at the Canada Council for the Arts
- Grant writing tips
- Draft project budgets
- The peer assessment process
